GEISLINGER GESILCO® BUTTERFLY

The Geislinger GESILCO® Butterfly is a maintenance-free misalignment coupling. The membranes of the coupling are made of lightweight and highly flexible composite materials to achieve the lowest reaction force possible, which increases the system’s reliability by protecting the driveline and bearings from possible overloads. This unique coupling is suitable for a wide range of applications. Its multiple designs make it compatible with a variety of connection interfaces.

Drivetrain systems benefit from low, almost linear reaction forces, as well as from the highest torque transmission with the best dynamic behavior. Further advantages are electrical insulation and non-magnetic properties. Even under extreme conditions, the high shock resistance of this coupling is a great benefit.

The material, design, size, function, and fiber orientation of the GESILCO® Butterfly coupling can be adapted to the specific requirements of various applications and therefore allows tailor-made solutions.

The highly flexible membranes, intermediate shaft and flanges are made of advanced composite material and manufactured as a single piece. Individual installation length situations can be adjusted by using high graded steel spacers between the two coupling halves. The innovative HSO product line enables easy assembly through its openings in the intermediate shaft.

All GESILCO® products are 100% engineered, developed and manufactured at Austrian Geislinger locations.

The Geislinger GESILCO® Butterfly misalignment coupling can be combined with a Geislinger torsional elastic coupling and is suitable for a wide range of applications, especially those, where weight, high shock capabilities and electrical insulation is of concern. The Geislinger GESILCO® product range is based on more than 25 years of experience in developing fiber composite couplings and shafts.
